Lore

It's said that wherever there's a party, Maman Brigitte won't be far. She wanders between the burying grounds of the world, appearing to her worshippers as a stylish and sometimes fanciful young woman with a cup of hot-pepper infused rum in one hand and a cigar in the other. She doles out wisdom and insults equally, never hesitating to show her followers a bit of tough love if she feels its needed.

Boisterous, foul-mouthed, and fiery of temperament, she is venerated as a protector and is called upon when there are people in need of healing, either physically or spiritually. Despite her sharp tongue and insouciant manner, Brigitte is considered one of the wisest of the Lwa who comprise the Gede Nanchon. She is the consort of Baron Samedi, and like him often acts as an intermediary between mortals and the creator spirit, Damballa, as well as the spirits of the dead. And, like Samedi, she enjoys a good celebration, especially those held in her honor. But this is not to say that she doesn't take her role as a shepherdess of souls seriously, especially when it involves the spirits of women, for whom Brigitte feels a special affection.

In addition, she watches over the graves of her worshippers, and helps the souls of the dying pass safely into the afterlife. She also nurtures those who are sick, but not yet ready to die. In all things, she is a caretaker and a protector – if not always a kindly one. And it is in her capacity as protector that Maman Brigitte has been drawn to the current fray. As monsters rampage across the world, she is compelled to act in defence of mortals, whether they worship her or not.

After all, the best parties are victory parties...

Abilities

Passive - Soul Spikes Damaging an enemy with a basic attack or ability afflicts enemies with Soul Spikes. Upon reaching 5 stacks, Maman Brigitte absorbs a piece of their soul, dealing damage based on their missing Health and gaining a Soul Orb from enemy gods. Soul Orbs last 30s. Notes:   The bonus damage does not trigger item effects.   Damage: (+1% of your Magical Power) per 1% of target's missing Health, up to a max of 60% Magical Power Scaling   Soul Spikes Duration: 10s   Ability Type: Damage, Buff Ability Video 1st Ability - Party Trick Maman Brigitte drinks from her bottle and breathes out fire. Enemies are set aflame, damaged every 0.5s for 1.5s, refreshing if they stay in the area. Maman Brigitte channels the fire for as long as she has Rum and can cancel at any time. When out of Rum or upon reactivation, she slams her bottle on the ground, damaging and stunning enemies. This ability's cooldown is reduced based on Rum remaining when the slam occurs. Notes:   This ability can be cast for a total of 2s before depleting all the rum.   This ability also deals an initial hit separate from the tick damage. Meaning casting this ability and cancelling (which consumes 5 rum per cast) will deal 24/56/88/120/152 (+40% of your Magical Power) damage and casting this ability 20 times every 1.5s will deal a total of 520/1200/1880/2560/3240 (+835% of your Magical Power) damage.   This damage triggers item effects but will only deal 25% of the damage and 100% healing from them.   Fire Damage Per Tick: 6/14/22/30/38 (+10% of your Magical Power)   Slam Damage: 40/80/120/160/200 (+35% of your Magical Power)   Stun Duration: 1.2s   Maximum Cooldown: 14s (Further reduced by CDR)   Ability Type: Cone, Damage, Stun   Range: 30/15   Cost: 20/30/40/50/60 mana   Cooldown: 8s Ability Video 2nd Ability - Madame Fangs Maman Brigitte's tattoo snake, Madame Fangs, slithers off of her arm and becomes a spectral snake that passes through enemies, damaging and applying Madame's Mark to all enemies hit. Subsequent hits from Madame Fangs deal 15% of the initial damage. Enemies with Madame's Mark take additional damage anytime Maman Brigitte damages them. This bonus damage does not trigger Item effects. Soul Spikes and Item effects do not trigger Madame's Mark. Notes:   Subsequent hits deal 7.5/11/15/19/22.5 (+6% of your Magical Power) damage.   Has a minimum range of 27.5.   After casting this ability, Maman Brigitte's tattoo is removed from her arm and slowly reappears.   If the player doesn't already have Madame's Mark when this ability applies the mark, then the effect of Madame's Mark will not apply for this ability.   Madame Fangs Initial Damage: 50/75/100/125/150 (+40% of your Magical Power)   Madame's Mark Damage: (+2.5% of your Magical Power)   Madame's Mark Duration: 5s   Ability Type: Projectile, Damage, Debuff   Range: 60   Cost: 55 mana   Cooldown: 11s Ability Video 3rd Ability - Spirit Seize Maman Brigitte shrouds herself in ghostly energy as she dashes forward, passing through player made walls and damaging enemies. If she hits an enemy god she possesses them, traveling with them and dealing damage every 0.5s for up to 2s. Maman Brigitte can leave her target early by dashing or canceling to step out. If she remains for the full duration, she will dash out as time expires. Notes:   Can deal up to 140/190/240/290/340 (+50% of your Magical Power) damage to a single target.   Maman Brigitte is untargetable while possessing an enemy and if the possessed enemy dies, Maman Brigitte will be forced to step out.   Maman Brigitte can only possess one enemy god per ability cast.   If the possessed god is in the air Maman Brigitte will be unable to exit, and if the time expires whilst they are in the air she will be forced to dash out upon landing.   If Maman Brigitte ends her dash inside a player-made wall, she will teleport outside of it when the dash expires.   Initial Hit Damage: 60/90/120/150/180 (+10% of your Magical Power)   Possession Tick Damage: 20/25/30/35/40 (+10% of your Magical Power)   Ability Type: Dash, Damage, Banish   Range: 40   Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana   Cooldown: 16s Ability Video Ultimate - Explosion Of Souls Maman Brigitte gains Crows Control immunity and gathers a large orb of spiritual energy that she throws at the target location. The orb's size is determined by the amount of Soul Orbs that Maman Brigitte has collected through Soul Spikes. Enemies hit are damaged, knocked up, and receive Madame's Mark for 5s. Maman Brigitte loses all Soul Orbs after using Explosion of Souls.
